Mod examples Demostration (Anim Ovehauls, Viewmodels)) Demostration (Playermodels, Custom Taunt anim) Official server proof :D

Finally, Big ass guide lol

All OF THIS HAS BEEN TESTED WITH 200~ mods

(Tested only on Windows, some options work on Linux)

After Months worth of Trial & Error, If you want a Game almost proof of Crashes with lots of mods installed, you will have to install (And follow all the steps):

(All installations guides are from their respective mod pages)

- QuickPreloader (Obligatory) (CURRENTLY WINDOWS EXCLUSIVE) (Perma-Install)

This Preloader is a really recommended way to preload your game, it will take less than 10 seconds if you have a lot of mods (Launch-loadtime depends on your PC, expect longer load times if you use a mid/low end device)

PREREQUISITES

- Java 17 or higher

How to Install:

  1. Download QuickPrecache.zip (or QuickPreloader_AnimFix.zip in case Mercs animations breaks)
  2. Copy the contents of QuickPrecache.zip to the root folder of your TF2 installation.
  3. Run quickprecache_mcp_full.bat to preload everything, quickprecache_mcp_nohats.bat to preload ALL except hats, or quickprecache_auto.bat to preload the specific mods you have
  4. Add '+exec preloader' to your launch parameter
Mods will work on casual if they are "Casual Compatible", so mods that are usually 2/3y or more old wont work

- ModLimitFix (Installation recommended) (Windows and Linux)

Copies automatically the TF_English.txt and more files to make sure the game forces this files to load (Fixes texts been corrupted, sometimes ending on crashes + Custom Huds not feacturing new maps, automatically crashing the game)

How to install it:
  1. Install the one of preference
  2. Put the resource_mod_copy.bat on (resource_mod_copy.sh on Linux)your "Custom" folder
  3. Launch it and accept
Need to use it every time TF2 gets updated to prevent crashes, shortcut to Desktop highly recommended

- Auto .cache Clearer (Installation recommended) (Windows and Linux)

Automatically erases all .cache files from all folders (Probability of missing Mercs eye textures, as other users reports) and automatically launches the game (Fixing a bit of lag if preloading way to many times)
How to install it:
  1. Install the cache_clearer most up to date version
  2. Put the cacheclearer1002.bat (cacheclrearer1002.py for Linux )on the "Team Fortress 2" folder
  3. Launch every time you're going to enter on TF2
You will need to create a Shortcut to your Desktop of the Clearer, after the .cache cleaning, it will launch from Steam tho

Now you only need to isntall "Casual Compatible" mods and all done :)
