Chao World Extended is a mod for the Chao Garden in Sonic Adventure 2 that can change the system of the Chao Garden depending on what you choose. Chao World Extended also add new contents, brings back unused contents and adds a variety of ways to get new kind of chao!
You can also edit the difficulty if you're looking to spice things up!

This Mod contains a bunch of different contents and codes that overall makes your Chao Garden experience a lot better.

Chao World Extended

The main mod! Added main feature such as Items, Eyes Colors, Unused Toys, Dreamcast Mouth...
Give you alot of codes to choose, Advanced, Hard, Easy, Bonus, and even Details to make your chao garden more alive!

!!! MAKE SURE TO LET THE MOD LOADER UPDATE CHAO WORLD EXTENDED, NEWER CHALLENGE RACE AND HD TEXTURES BEFORE PLAYING !!!

Chao World Extended also Rebalance the Fruits:
- Garden Fruits: 40% Stamina (50% if the hard mode code "Hunger is Difficult" is enabled)
- Strong Fruit: 60% Stamina
- Tasty Fruit: still gives 30% Stamina but now also gives 60% Luck
- Hero/Dark Fruit: 50% Stamina and still edits the alignment
- Round/Square/Triangle Fruit: 80% Stamina
- Smart Fruit: 30% Stamina and 320% Intel
- GBA Fruits: give double of what they gave before
- Mushroom: 160% Stamina
- Mushroom Alt: 320% Stamina
- Mint Candy: 250% to Swim, Fly, Run, and Power, and Stamina

CWE.DLL

This DLL containt:

- New Colors! (for Shading Code and Mixed Color Code, more info below)

All New Chao Colors have there own unique shiny jewel color!

You can now type in up to 12 characters for your chao's name!

- Chao Relations and Social Action!

Chao who talk enough with eachother may hold eachothers hands! Chao can also now react accordingly if they're nearby to evolve and death/reincarnation cocoons.

Chao talking has been improved, they have new expressions now and can get angry during conversations

Do the same method as you're getting a Chaos chao, but evolve to a certain type to evolve into a Character Chao instead!

All SA2 animals + 2 Reincarnation + 80 Happiness + Run = Amy Chao
All SA2 animals + 2 Reincarnation + 80 Happiness + Power = Knuckles Chao

- A Better Black Market!

The vanilla black market was very limited and mostly caused issues because of so many hats and fruits mods...
So the CWE Team decided to rework on the Black market and add Tabs!
You can browse easily and not worry about limitations!

- New Items:

Hyper fruits:
These Fruits are rare and can be only found in the Black Market without using the D-Pad code. They are powerful and can be used to upgrade a stat's grade as long as that grade is an S. As an example, if your Chao has a Swim grade of S, giving it the Hyper Swim Fruit will grant it a new and more powerful grade, The X Grade


Shiny Fruit:
With a Special Brightfix mod made by Exant (included in CWE.dll), using the Shiny Fruit allows you to change any of your Bright Chao into a true Shiny Two-tone Chao!


Lens Box:
Lens boxes allow you to customize your Chao's eyes with 5 different eye colors, any of the 3 alignment-specific eyes, and 3 special sets of eyes. A default Lens box exists in case you ever wish to reset your Chao's eyes back to their original appearance


Chao Seed:
Using the Chao Seed, your Chao can finally plant Chao trees

Accesories:
A new way to customize your chao, and can even equip multiple at a time! Currently available: Glasses, Aviators, Baseball Cap & Bow

This potion look dangerous but can also be helpful, careful what are you doing with it!

- New Menus in Transporter!

At long last the chao Transporter or Departure machine, whatever you want to call it..
It's not longer useless! drop your chao in the machine and select Customization to change Hats, Medals, and Accessories (you can even combine them!)


OH and you can move Chao between Multisaves now! (not quite compatible with 16 chao code)



You can also rename your chao without going to the fortune teller!

- New Menu: Shortcut Menu

by pressing X and Y, this small menu (depend what you enabled in CWE) will display chao name or change the weathers for testing purpose

- New Grade: The X Grade

Unlike other grades, it is temporary, and only one stat at a time can be at a grade of X. The X-graded stat has a massively-boosted stat cap until the Chao reincarnates, after which the grade reverts to S. Note that since the stat cap is what is affected, it is wise to upgrade the S to an X before the respective stat is at Lvl 99

- New way to increase your grades

Tired of making your Chao reincarnate over and over to increase its grades? No worries — the Chao Doctor will help you boost your Chao's grades. This requires rings, and the stat must be at Lvl 99!
Your Chao's grades can only be upgraded 3 times per life — from E to A — and the higher the grade, the more rings are required:
E > D = 10 000 rings
D > C = 20 000 rings
C > B = 30 000 rings
B > A = 40 000 rings

For upgrade just do the following input while looking at your chao stats table:
Y + DPad Up for Swim
Y + Dpad Down for Fly
Y + Dpad Right for Power
Y + Dpad Left for Run
Y + L and R for Stamina

- Parent DNA!

You can now see the Parents and GrandParents of the baby chao by pressing down while looking at your chao stats table!

If your chao is born before using v9, this will show "No Data"

- Lifepan Display

it is now possible to See how long your chao can live with the new bar "Lifespan".
The ability number display the grade of the lifespan, the bigger it is, the longer the chao will live

(rip Easter in 3...2...1...)

- Easy Code: Emotion Display
Enabling this code will show icons next to your Chao that represent their current feelings


-New Inventory!
The inventory has been expanded to 10 slots now, and it actually shows the items now! (you can still enable the old inventory display)

- Birthday!

Chao have birthdays now (you can view when it comes in the health center), and they also throw parties now!

- Unused Piano and Organ Remade

- New Animals

SADX Animals:
SADX Animals are obtained differently from SA2 animals. They are somehow interested in those GBA fruits around your gardens: if you buy GBA fruits from the Black Market and leave them in the garden, a SADX animal may appear!
NOTE: each GBA fruit gives a different kind of SADX animal


Bugs:
This mod also add 3 new animals: ladybug, scorpion and the bee!


You can obtain them using the orange!


They can also give new animal parts!

- A Unique way to get Special Chao

Chao world extended also offer contents to get special chao

Omochao:
Unlock the Wrench from challenge race (also work with Newer challenge race), then buy some omochao parts in the Black market, and let your chao build one!
Omochao will have the same color of the chao that build him


- Open Custom Fruits and Hats for Modders! (and more!)

Chao World Extended now can help Modders adding their own custom hats and fruits, however this require some coding, so it's only for advanced users

We removed this from the mod pack because we didn't really support it too well. It's still available on GameBanana separately if anyone wants to download it, but we advise you to use the Enhanced Gardens from Shaddatic's Enhanced Chao World mod, they function the same as DC Gardens but are generally more compatible with other mods.

This is a completely new Challenge Race for your chao in the Chao Race! Each race has a prize and a special feature, lets see how far you can go with your most powerful chao!

This is made for players who want a harder Chao Race, the 1st race will start with the difficulty of the last race from the original Challenge Race. Of course, the difficulty will increase the further you go and some surprises will be waiting for you as progress.

Note: This mod will remove the Beginner Medal and the Original Challenge Medal from your chao. You can only see them in the Health Center.

ADVANCED CODES

Advanced Codes edit the system and unlock chao you cannot obtain through normal means.

ATTENTION: After you enable this, there's no way to go back except backing up your save files or using a chao editor... Think about what you're you doing before you enable one of them!

Enable Monster Evolution:
When one of your chao's stats reach 2000 (even futher if 3000), you can help the chao increase it's 2nd Evolution even further then its suppose to through normal means. Please note that chao with the "normal" color will become TRANSPARENT when they start to go beyond! (as of 9.5.3, this can now be disabled if you turn on "Fix Monster Evolution Transparency" in config)

Normal Chao can make Color Chao:

The Normal chao colors can make baby chao with it's own colors.

Medal Chao can make Jewel Chao

When your chao is wearing a jewel medal like topaz, he can make topaz chao! (Works 50% of the time.)

Hero medal: you can have gold chao
dark medal: you can have silver chao
Aqua or Sapphire medal: you can have Aqua jewel chao or sapphire jewel chao
Topaz Medal: you can have Topaz chao
Peridot or Emerald medal: you can have peridot jewel chao or emerald jewel chao
garnet or Ruby medal: you can have garnet jewel chao or ruby jewel chao
onyx or Amethyst medal: you can have onyx jewel chao or Amethyst jewel chao
Pearl medal: you can have pearl chao
Diamond Medal: give ANY Jewel Chao, even Texture Chao

Chaos Chao & Character Chao are like Normal Chao

With this code your chaos chao and character chao (tails, knuckles & amy) can have animal parts and mate with other chao while still being immortal!

Transform PC Shiny Jewek chao to GC

This code changes the appearance of any PC shiny jewel chao to GC so you can have transparent chao and invisible chao with shiny colorsed chao + jewel chao
like the GC version!

But remember, there's no undo if you save it after the code's effect

Mixing Colors

With this code you can mix different chao colors together and breed entirely new special mixes of color which makes an amazing variety of all new chao! n

Eye Colors for NewBorn Chao

Lenses are not the only way to get Chao with custom eye colors! With this code on, your newborn Chao have a chance to be born with different eye colors! Note that this only applies to eye color: you cannot get alignment eyes or special eyes this way

Fruit Can Spoil

Fruits will now Spoil sometimes before they disappear, they have different color than the original, giving a spoil fruit to your chao not only decrease there stamina (can't level down though), but also decrease there magnitude

Create New SHINY jewel Monotone

When this code is on, all newborn Chao that are Shiny Jewel Monotone will have a unique look that is basically a mix of Texture/Jewel Chao with Shiny color on it!

Newborn Chao Have Varying Shades of Color

If this code is on, buying multiple Chao of the same color from the Black Market can give you different results: for example, you may buy 2 pink eggs and each one hatches with a different shade of pink, making them unique!

HARD CODE

These CODES are dangerous! We recommend you DO NOT enable these codes if you don't want to risk having your chao die or just leave the game on casually. For those of you who raise chao seriously, this is a little challenge for you. Beware of your chao!

Bully Chao (requires the code: more chao animation)

This code will allow chao attack OTHER chao if they are angry. If the chao gets hit by another chao, it will lose happiness, so pay attention! Luckily, this code will also make happy chao defending other chao, if an angry chao decides to attack, there is a chance that a another chao will stop it! (You must have the more animation code for this code to work properly).

Hunger's Difficult

When your chao is hungry, it will start crying and lose happiness.
However, it make Garden fruit give more Stamina than usual!

Enable SpinDash & Somersault

The title says it all, like SADX, you can use the SpinDash or Somersault. You can do cool tricks in the garden but be careful that you don't hit your chao by accident!

More Sick Chao:

This code makes your chao sick when you're doing something wrong,. Notice that when a chao is sick, no matter what the happiness value is, it will be a gray cocoon when it's time has come (the cocoon of death).
However, Your chao will only need 50exp instead of 100exp to level up when he's sick!

Chao Attention

If you don't pay attention to your chao or pet it often, it will start to lose happiness.

Annoying Mean Chao

Chao with Mean Eyes will slower hate all characters, making them Annoying to deal with! Have some troublemaker!

EASY CODES

If you want play Chao Garden peacefully and at ease without danger or something annoying you, these are the codes for you.

Fruits Never Disappear

The will fruits never disappear. For example, you can buy two heart fruits and use it later without it disappearing.

Reincarnation requires 20 Happiness

This code was previously named "Chao Never Die", but has been remade to have the Chao require only 20 happiness to reincarnate.

Instant Grow Trees

Once the seed is planted and watered by a chao, the tree will fully grow in a sec! no more small tree until it fully grow to get fruit.

Instant Grow Fruits

Fruit will instant grow from Trees! Now you don't have to wait and worry about your chao starving...

Stronger Chaos Drives

Chaos Drives are now stronger than before and give alot of points required!
(they all give +72%, but only +20% luck)

Chao Can't hate any character

Once again, the name says it all, chao can't hate you even if you abuse them, but that doesn't mean they will always love you necessarily, you will be just neutral unless you take good care of them.

Auto Generate Stats

The stats will now increase very slowly until level10.
Note: This is not a good way to get a Perfect Chao.

MISCELLANEOUS CODES

Some Codes we did for tweaks, and QoL!

Dynamic Lifetime

This code edits chao lifetime depending on how many chao is in the garden at once. If you have less than 8 chao in the garden, the chao will grow and evolve FASTER. If you have more than 8 in the garden, the chao will grow and evolve SLOWER.

Lucky Chao

There's 1/60 chance that a chao can be born with a hat, toy or lesson!

Chao Counter

This code will count how many chao you have in the garden, the counter is shown when you press start, so it will be easy to count chao!

Stay Baby Chao Until all Level 10

Baby Chao will never evolve until you disable the code or the baby reaches level 10 in all stats (or stamina reaches level 99). You could probably make a chao live longer.

Merge Hero and Dark Garden Chao Slots

The chao that are in hero or dark garden will move to one garden (hero or dark) depending where you are.

Increase Chao limit per Garden to 16

You can put over 16 chao in any garden you want at anytime without making a chao move to another garden itself.

Multi Savefile:

The game will use a different chao save file for each main file that is present in the game. The game allows you to create 10 main save files max, which means, you can get 10 different chao save files in total which is 240 chao! That's a lot!

No Animal Parts (arms + legs)

This code automatically "removes" the animal parts on a chao's arms/legs.

No Animal Parts (ALL)

This automatically "removes" ALL animal parts.

SADX Chao Alignment

Hero and Dark characters can't make baby chao hero/dark chao anymore, just like SADX the only way to make baby chao hero or dark is by using hero or dark fruit.

More Face for Newborn Chao

You can get more chao faces from hatching an egg. Maybe you will special mouths or glitchy one.

Remove Dark Chao's Mean Eyes Override

The title says it all: evolving your Chao into the Dark alignment no longer forces it to have mean eyes, allowing your Dark Chao to keep its previous eyes. It's weird at first, but you get used to it

Triple the Personalities Effects:

This Code multiply the effect of the Personalities by 3! Making Gardens EXTREMELY active!

Remove Breeding Limit:

Allow chao to breed even if the garden is full.
What? You have 16 chao in your garden? HA! Don't mind if i do! Have another baby..

INPUT CODES

Better Camera

Allow to Control the camera Up and Down, Zoom out, and other stuff!

Use Numbers for change Item in Black Market+

Switch Black Market item page by pressing keys 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Each number are different items.

Hold X to go Negative Chao Save:
What do you mean you can't find Mirror? You want a separate save to care those chao?! Well i have great news!

all you have to do is hold X (U for keyboard) before you enter the Chao World. The game will create a new save (SONIC2B__BLK) and will load an alt chao skins (neutral and hero chao will become black, dark chao will become white).

DETAIL CODES

It's nice to have more detail too.

Fitting chao Personality:

Because of the code "More Faces for newborn Chao", Personality might not be fitting, so this code will fix this issue, given the right personality depending of the chao face!

More Chao animation:

The chao will use different animations/actions that you've never seen before!
Also change the animation speed of your chao depending of his Personalities

More Chao Sound:

Almost all the unused sounds will be used in the game.

Doctor chao give more information :

This code will make the doctor say other things to your chao instead of the generic "This chao is very healthy, please take good care of your chao".

More Face Expression:

Added more facial expressions to Chao, and a Chao's expression may change depending on its current action

RACE AND KARATE CODES

Chao karate give Medal

When your chao wins all 5 rounds in Chao Karate, it will win a new medal strictly available to Chao Karate only!

Camera Switch Manually (using Keyboard)

use the Number key to switch chao view during the chao race, from number 1 to 8

Jewel and Beginner Race become 8 Chao party race

This code is actually made for Chao Race Tournaments. It actually requires Chao Editor to use it. All you have to do is select jewel race, a random chao, and a race.
When the race starts you will see the first 8 slots of your chao in the race.

Win Jewel Chao in Jewel Race

Another way to get jewel chao, a 100% chance this time!
If you win a jewel race lvl 5 on Garnet for example, you will got a chao egg with a garnet jewel chao inside
if you already have a garnet chao in your save, or you have 24 chao, you will not get the egg, simple

Chao Gain Experience Point by doing Race!

Each second of the race the chao will gain some exp points, when your chao finish the race, the number of exp points he gain will level up his stats

if it pass 100exp = +1 level
if it pass 200exp = +2 level

each race level up different stats, like Aquamarine will focus on Swim,
Topaz will focus on Fly,
Peridot focus on Run,
Garnet Focus on power,
and Onyx and Diamond focus All of course (however it will increase slower),

Stamina increase in any Race, but slower than other stats

it check the grade aswell, to give the number of point depending the chao grade, and since your chao level up from race, it will always give the maximum values
(so always +30 from S grade if your chao level up from race)

just remember that it will only work in Beginner and Jewel Race

CHEAT CODES

Just remember that you're bad person if you use these.

Black Market Debug Menu

Press X and Y in the black market to open the debug menu on the top left and access to all the items!
We use it for testing our new items, we want to share it so Modders who are making new fruits or hats can easily test it! But if you use it for getting you want... I'll beat your ass

More than 99lvl :

This code removes the level 99 limit.

Nerf Cheated chao stats (wait this one is anti-cheat..)

This code will edit the chao stats and make them "legit" as possible if you used a cheat code (disable level limit) or edited stats with Chao Editor. This also unban your chao from Newer Challenge Race.

Tiny FAQ

Can i use it with Fusion Chao Editor
No. Since v8, Chao World Extended is adding new chao feature that the editor can broke it, however, you can use this Editor: Krzys2's Chao Editor

When I launch the game I crash after SEGA and SONIC TEAM, what happen?
You most likely have a problem with SA2 Mod Loader.
Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 runtime 64x and 86x
and the problem should be solved.
