Welcome to DOOMSona!

This mod will allow you to play the following DOOM games in the Retro Game Console:

• DOOM Shareware
• DOOM 1/Ultimate DOOM (WAD file not included)
• DOOM II: Hell on Earth (WAD file not included)
• FreeDOOM: Phase 1
• FreeDOOM: Phase 2
• Chex® Quest

As noted, the WADs for DOOM 1/Ultimate DOOM and DOOM II are not included in this mod, as those are still commercially sold. Once you've obtained the WADs, the games will be playable in the mod.

Features:

• Compatibility with the games on the above list.
• Full KB+M and gamepad support; switch between both at any time!
• Full savegame functionality; progress can be saved/loaded on any of the WADs by going to Save Game/Load Game!
• In-game rewards for Joker such as social stats, and a gacha-like reward of helpful items (should you complete enough levels at a certain difficulty or above in one session)
• Support for PWADs that are Chocolate Doom-friendly.

Install Instructions/Automatic Install (recommended):

1. Download the mod via Reloaded-II or manually on this page.
2. When launching the game with the mod for the first time, an installer GUI will pop up; follow all instructions to finish installing the mod.
3. Once installed, the game will launch automatically!

For advanced users/manual installation:

Should you want to manually install the mod rather than go through the automatic installer, do the following steps:

1. Locate the DOOMSona.zip file inside the p5rpc.addon.doomsona directory on Reloaded-II's Mods directory.
2. Extract the contents of the ZIP file into the root directory of Persona 5 Royal.
3. In Reloaded-II, click on Persona 5 Royal, and "Edit Application" on the left-hand side.
4. Under "Advanced Tools & Options", tick the box labeled "Don't Inject Loader".
5. Additionally, click on the "Deploy ASI Loader" to add Reloaded-II's bootstrapper to the root directory.
6. Launch the game!

Adding WADs:

To install the DOOM 1 & 2 WADs, go to the DOOMSona folder inside of p5rpc.addon.doomsona folder, and drop the WADs there!

PWAD Support:

This mod supports PWADs that are compatible with Chocolate Doom. To install PWADs:

1. Go to the folder path "p5rpc.addon.doomsona\DOOMSona\WADs"
2. Place the PWAD of choice here.
3. Done!

Note 1: Currently, there is no support for modified IWADs.

Note 2: If you wish to pass Chocolate Doom arguments, you can do so by making a "args.txt" file inside of the DOOMSona folder and write your arguments there!

Keyboard Bindings:

To edit your keyboard bindings:

1. Click on the "Configure Mod" button in Reloaded-II while highlighting the DOOMSona mod.
2. Click on the "Configure DOOM" button in the GUI.
3. Select "Configure Keyboard" on the Chocolate Doom Setup GUI.

To manually launch the Chocolate Doom Setup, go to:

• p5rpc.addon.doomsona\DOOMSona\chocolate-doom-setup.exe

And launch the configurator there!

In-Game Instructions:

Once you're in-game, the DOOM shareware game cartridge will be purchasable at the Secondhand Shop in Yongen-Jaya starting on June 5th.

Complete the shareware on any difficulty, and the other games will be unlocked for purchase!

Compatibility with other mods:

This mod shouldn't interact with any of the popular mods for P5R (such as Custom Bonus Tweaks, for example) in any negative way, however there is no 100% guarantee of that being the case.

Additionally, there can be a conflict with mods that interact with bitflags 12461 to 12469.

Uninstall Instructions:

Via Installer GUI:

To uninstall the mod via the installer GUI, follow these instructions:

1. Go to the DOOMSona mod and click on "Configure Mod".
2. Close Reloaded-II and click on Uninstall/Cleanup.
3. If you are not using other mods that require the ASI Loader and Reloaded Bootstrapper, tick on the "Remove ASI Loader and Bootstrapper" check box.
4. Click on Uninstall.
5. Close the GUI, and open Reloaded-II.
6. Delete the mod from Reloaded-II
7. Done!

Manual uninstall:

For a manual uninstall, do the following:

1. In your Persona 5 Royal directory, delete the following files:

• bass.dll (Do not delete this file if you use Zolika1351's ZMenu)
• bassmidi.dll
• dinput8.dll (Do not delete this file if you use Zolika1351's ZMenu)
• DOOMSona.asi
• DOOMSonaVersion.tag

1. In Reloaded-II, delete the mod.
2. Untick the "Don't Inject Loader" box if you previously had it enabled prior to the mod.
3. Done!
