Physics Changes with New Animations and Small Model Edits Thrown In

Frontiers Finessed is a mod comprised of several small but impactful changes to Sonic Frontiers that, while not fundamentally changing the experience entirely or creating a novel new way to play the game, is intended to be a natural-feeling viable alternative to the vanilla version of the game when it comes to full playthroughs, primarily when it comes to Sonic's non-boosting controls and physics.

Changes include:

-Changes to Sonic's non-boosting base speed

-Slopes now strongly influence Sonic's current velocity

-Increased jump and air control for more fluid platforming

-Light Speed Dash no longer stops at the end of a ring trail

-Homing Attack no longer feels as rigid

-Cyberspace controls and physics have been changed to more closely reflect the open zone experience

-Amy, Knuckles and Tails have all had these changes applied to their Open Zone controls and physics in relevant ways with character specific variations in accelerations and max speeds. Tails has had the delay before gaining altitude while flying removed.

Keep in mind that Frontiers Finessed is not a mod intended to make Sonic feel overpowered or make Frontiers feel like an entirely different game. The intent was to make VERY small alterations versus massive sweeping changes to make the game feel more natural to play (to me, if no one else).

Other changes include light changes to the proportions of Sonic, Super Sonic and Super Sonic 2 models as well as multiple new animations including all new idle animations, walk, run and boost cycles, the Giganto Super Sonic transformation cutscene and more.

My Recommendations:

-It is recommended to disable any Hedge Mod code-based physics mods initially to get a sense of how the mod feels on its own, then re-enabling preferred ones according to taste.

-It is highly recommended to disable "Maintain Boost During a Jump" in the settings to maintain the intended level of air control. Again, this is not meant to be an overpowered mod, air drag is still in play for a natural-feeling air control experience.

Thanks for giving it a shot!
