Gru (Despicable Me) [Vanilla/CMC]

A Mod for Super Smash Bros. Crusade.

I bet no one expected a despicable addition to the roster as Gru has stolen an empty slot and thus he joins the Crusade. Wow, I never thought I'd see the day I get to make a mod out of Gru of all the characters I wanted to do. Unlike most of my characters, Gru's sprites are taken from a sprite sheet instead of MUGEN so that's a plus right there! Anyways, Gru is a zoner who uses a lot of projectiles for his special moves and thus he can be despicable to deal with if given the right hands. Gru in this game is equipped with a gun that you could say was upgraded as it has multiple uses.

moveset

Neutral Special: Jams 'n Jellies - Shoot a ball of jelly that bounces around. Gru used a jelly gun in Despicable Me 2. The jelly ball sprite was actually done by me in Piskel.

Side Special: FREEZE RAY! - I was obviously going to use this as part of his moveset. Shoot a laser that can freeze opponents. At high percents, it is supposed to trap anyone in the ice.

Up Special: Air Gun Gust - Gru used a weapon like this in Despicable Me: The Game. Shoot a gust of wind below you to propel to heights. This is not a projectile move but the little gust of wind the gun creates does have some damage.

Down Special: Minion Rush - I bet some of you saw this coming when you think of Despicable Me. Summon a Minion that runs in front of you running over anyone. NUFF Said.

Final Smash: Death Ball Ray - Gru used a weapon like this in the first Despicable Me. Shoot a big ball of flames that travels straight. Anyone who touches it will be KNOCKED OVER! Don't worry it ain't OP enough to isnta kill you. I tried it out!

Gru also comes with a stage called Super Silly Fun Land. I think this has a lot of stage potential and for this stage, you are on the theme park just duking it out. The stage comes with 7 despicably banger songs from the movies. The film series does have a lot of songs that are banger but for this, I chose enough songs. Mainly the ones written for the film including those by Pharrell Williams. Also, I've seen a lot of people say that this is the best-looking Gru sprite that exists and that it's almost on par with Crusade's sprites. The more I think about it the more I can see it.
