Translation Description:
This is an unofficial English translation of Mother 3, a Japanese RPG released for the Game Boy Advance in 2006. Mother 3 is the sequel to the 1995 Super NES RPG, EarthBound.
This patch is in UPS format and the archive comes with custom patching programs for Windows, Linux, and Mac.
UPDATE – April 20th, 2021
As a celebration of the game's 15th anniversary, Lorenzoone, the Italian MOTHER 3 fan translator, spent approximately three years improving the English patch. This new version of the patch mostly fixes technical issues and bugs for a better gameplay experience. The game's text is almost entirely the same as in previous releases. Some points worth noting from the changelog:
- A number of the translation's bugs, issues and typos have been fixed
- More fixes of the Japanese version's bugs/issues
- A lot of technical improvements to help with the overall performance and optimization of the game (no slowdowns, softlock fixes, etc.)
- The Translation Tools have been updated, as well as adding certain features to make future translations easier for the user
- Changed the "Ready-Set-Go" voice clip to the one featuring Lani Minella and Karmageddon
- And probably some lesser stuff that's been forgotten over time
