Computer

Check out our latest computer game reviews. PC games are traditionally intended for the core gaming community, seeing as contemporary systems that are the host to games we now qualify as 'casual' are usually settled in the living room, connected to a TV. An increasingly small majority of franchises turn out to be available on both computers (Windows, and too rarely OSX and Linux) and consoles. It comes down to our reviewers whether they prefer reviewing a game on the PC or on their console - knowing that in most if not all cases a game will look better on the PC, assuming your PC comes with a decent video card.

Fields of Mistria is now the new standard by which I’ll measure every other experience within the genre. It’s not going to be easy to beat the attention to detail so meticulously thought through here.

Red Thread Games' Telltale-like adventure introduces an interesting world, but its cast of misfits can't match it with their own intrigue.

It would be ridiculous to criticize candy for being good at being candy. I think I’m just surprised that it didn’t have more substance because it seemed like it had all the potential in the world to be a grand dessert.

Flintlock isn’t a majestic epic in the vein of Elden Ring, and nor did it need to be. This is a nicely streamlined, elegant, and focused Soulslike, with an interesting setting to explore and some excellent, refined combat.

As a concept, Anger Foot is genius. I loved the city, the gangs, and the oddball humour. Oh, and the soundtrack is a thumping ass-kicker that constantly delivers big beats and funky grooves.

I would suggest that this is probably the sexiest game that you’ll play that isn’t outright pornographic, but the different authorial perspective in how it’s written is appealing, and interesting.

It's an OK experience that won't change the world. Seasoned MudRunners or SnowRunners may get a kick out of this for a few hours, but overall I found it to be pretty mundane beyond the realistic driving elements.

Republic of Pirates is an enjoyable, if generally uninspired city builder and light-touch RTS. It’s pretty to look at, has a comfortable, laid-back vibe, and aside from wrestling with the controls, is an easy-playing experience that you can tune out to.
