As promised during the Sonic Central 2024 event earlier this week, the Sonic The Hedgehog YouTube channel has released the first episode in the "Dark Beginnings" animated series of Shadow's story.
This new animated short, the first of a 3 part series, serves as a prologue to the upcoming "Sonic X Shadow Generations" videogame. The first episodic short, titled "Shadow and Maria" focuses on Shadow and some of his struggles and ordeals that happened throughout his creation 50 years ago, from his life aboard the Ark alongside Maria, to what happened afterwards with the Gizoid experiment breaking havok, GUN seizing control of the space colony and the eventual incarceration of Gerald Robotnik by GUN.
The following two episodes will release in a weekly manner, with "Episode 2: Finding the Way" coming October 3rd and "Episode 3: To The Ark" coming October 10th, leading up to the release of "Sonic X Shadow Generation" on October 25th, 2024.
