A simple tutorial on installing mods the easy way!

1. First of all, make sure you have installed both an unmodded copy of Friday Night Funkin' and the mod that you would like to install.

Unfortunately with the method that I will be demonstrating, conflicts won't function properly, due to the way that the game works. The reason for this is that mods that are conflicting with one another will replace each others' assets, depending on the order that you install them.

2. Open or extract the mod zip. For this tutorial, I will be opening the zip but the same steps apply for extracting it.



3. Open the Friday Night Funkin' folder and stay on the root folder (the folder that holds the .exe file) as shown below.



3b. Optionally, create a copy of the game which can be modded. This means that you will always have the original game, allowing for future modding.



4. Drag and drop the "assets" folder of the mod to the root folder (where the .exe file is located).



5. And that's it! Now you can run the .exe and play Friday Night Funkin' with mods!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have two mods at the same time?
Yes and No. It depends on the assets that each mods replace. If you have two skin mods that replace the Boyfriend, you will only be able to use one at a time.

Is there a mod manager?
I currently have no knowledge of the existence of a working (and easy-to-use) mod manager.
