The Prologue doesn't have any collectibles to find. You'll play as Sarah when the cordyceps outbreak starts.
The Last of Us 1: Prologue Walkthrough
The Last of Us begins with a cutscene introducing Joel and his daughter Sarah. You'll start in Sarah's bedroom as she wakes up. Get ready: things are about to get scary! In her room, you can check the mirror and try using the phone. There's a birthday card you can read near the bed, but it's not a collectible. The game has many objects like this to interact with, so explore often. The bathroom is across the hall. Open the door and read the newspaper by the sink. It talks about recalled crops and weird murders happening.
Go back to the hall. Joel's bedroom door is open with light coming out. Go in and watch the news, then see the explosion outside. Go downstairs.
A phone in the kitchen starts ringing. Answer it to see Tommy, Joel's brother, is calling. On your right, there's a note on the fridge to read. To your left is an office with glass doors slightly open. Go in quietly and you'll see Joel again before being rushed to Tommy's car.
In the car, you can't control where you go, but you can move Sarah to look out the back and side windows. This continues as you drive into the city, until another car crashes into you and the screen goes black.
Now you'll play as Joel. Your first job is to press the square button fast to get out of the wrecked car.
Run downhill to the gas station, then turn right when it blows up, heading to the Armadillo Theatre. Tommy will tell you to take a left alley, so do that. An infected person will attack you, so be ready to press square quickly. Follow the alley around to the Pistol Cantina.
Inside the Pistol Cantina, Tommy assures you he can handle the infected. Escape through the broken wall and sprint down the muddy tracks to reach the army officer. Watch the emotional cutscene that follows. When you regain control, you'll find yourself 20 Years Later.
