Earth Defense Force 6 brings the series back and better than ever. It offers the same bug-smashing action with a time travel twist in the tale. Classes remain as satisfying as ever and multiplayer spreads the joy.

The Murena 2 is a solid midrange phone with unique hardware switches and an open de-Googled OS. While not perfect, it offers a simple entry point to a more privacy-focused Android ecosystem.

The Garden Path is a labor of love for both developer carrotcake and the player. It targets for a specific audience that is accepting of a slower pace and a soft, cozy vibe.

Like a photo, The Star Named EOS is a fleeting moment in time. During its all-too-short playthrough, the game gives us so much to love: between the art, the story, and the puzzles, we can't choose just one highlight.

This version of Rogue is a faithful port of a game that is around 40 years old at this point.

Flintlock isn’t a majestic epic in the vein of Elden Ring, and nor did it need to be. This is a nicely streamlined, elegant, and focused Soulslike, with an interesting setting to explore and some excellent, refined combat.

As a straight-up visual novel, this checks all the boxes with color and panache. It’s a good addition to the B-Project project by Mages, and good on PQube for localizing something with as narrow interest in the West as this.

As a Zelda fan of nearly 30 years, it’s not easy to find a game that comes close to scratching that itch in a truly authentic way, but Dungeons Of Hinterberg is the real deal.

Some of the stages in this collection don’t feel quite as refined as those found in Toree 3D or Toree 2, and the game’s arcade-like nature means it won’t hold your attention for hours and hours on end.

In terms of presentation, the pixel-art visuals do a fine job of conveying small details and atmosphere; the character design in particular is exquisite, and we love seeing the bespoke reload animations and the subtle breath emanating from your mouth.

Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition feels like a release schedule filler. While the multiplayer features are robust, they’re hardly innovative, and really it’s just a package of sliced-up classic games with a timer attached to them.

Twisters is less visually appealing than its predecessor, but more emotionally engaging, resulting in a worthwhile summer blockbuster.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is the absolute pinnacle of the series and despite being over five years old this 'impossible' Switch conversion does very little to degrade the experience.

Hot Lap Racing is too serious to be an arcade racer and its handling is too loose to be considered a serious simulation, but players looking for something that attempts to straddle a middle ground will get a kick out of its unique roster of cars.
