Thronefall is a strategy video game developed and published by Grizzly Games. An early access version of the game was released for Microsoft Windows on August 2, 2023 and had sold just under 1 million copies over a year. The full version of the game was released for Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch on October 11, 2024. In the game, players control a monarch on horseback who must build their kingdom during the day, and at night defend it from increasing waves of enemies. The monarch can fight in battle alongside their soldiers, choosing between several weapons such as a bow or spear, which have their own special abilities. At the start of each day, the player regains all their destroyed buildings and units, and receives an amount of gold depending upon how many of their structures were left intact.
