In recent months, we've covered quite a few planned server closures and full game delistings on Xbox, and as it happens - a bunch of upcoming casualties are actually going ahead later this month. As a result, the guys over at TrueAchievements have gathered up the full list of December 2024 shutdowns on Xbox - and we thought we'd share them here.

With SEGA delisting a bunch of its classic games on Xbox this month, we have quite a few departures from that batch, alongside some more EA closures and the delisting of Forza Horizon 4 in a few weeks. Anyway, here's the full list, along with the dates for each delisting:

  • Altered BeastDecember 6, 2024
  • Crazy TaxiDecember 6, 2024
  • NiGHTS into dreams...December 6, 2024
  • Sega Bass FishingDecember 6, 2024
  • Sega Mega Drive & Genesis ClassicsDecember 6, 2024
  • Sega Vintage Collection: Golden AxeDecember 6, 2024
  • Sega Vintage Collection: Monster WorldDecember 6, 2024
  • Sega Vintage Collection: ToeJam & EarlDecember 6, 2024
  • Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of RageDecember 6, 2024
  • ShinobiDecember 6, 2024
  • Sonic the FightersDecember 6, 2024
  • Virtua Fighter 2December 6, 2024
  • Forza Horizon 4December 15, 2024
  • G.I. Joe: Operation BlackoutDecember 31, 2024
  • Nerf LegendsDecember 31, 2024
  • NASCAR Heat 3December 31, 2024
  • NASCAR Heat 4December 31, 2024
  • NASCAR Heat 5December 31, 2024
  • NASCAR 21: IgnitionDecember 31, 2024
As for Forza Horizon 4 specifically, that one will also leave Xbox Game Pass this month, so it may be worth picking the game up if you want to get FH4 tied to your account for keeps. The good news is that there's a steep discount on that one right now via the Xbox Store - running from now until the game gets taken down on December 15th.

It's a shame to be saying goodbye to all of these Xbox games this month, especially those SEGA classics, which really do sting. It appears that the Japanese game maker is planning to make modern iterations of these franchises in the coming years.

What do you make of all these Xbox closures? Drop your thoughts on this list down below.
