Dragon Ball DAIMA has been giving fans a slow burn as each episode only teased Goku's prowess in his miniature form. Despite a few glimpses of Super Saiyan Goku, each battle felt like a warm-up for something better as the hunt for the Demon Realm Dragon Balls continued. Episode 7, "Collar", finally pushes things forward as more fighters reach the Demon Realm and Goku comes face to face with Tamagami Number Three in Dragon Ball DAIMA.
Between woefully outmatched groups of warriors and a rather quick sparring session with Glorio, fans have yet to see Goku go all out in Dragon Ball DAIMA. Even the first two appearances of a freshly miniaturized Super Saiyan Goku were barely a taste of his power. Meanwhile, Bulma's attempts at getting them to the Demon Realm came crashing down at the end of Episode 6. With Vegeta and Piccolo still far from Goku, the Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 7 preview teased the first of three Tamagami battles with a Demon Realm Dragon Ball up for grabs.
Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 7 Kicks Off Goku vs. Tamagami Number Three
Goku tries to avoid a battle by pulling out his trusty instant transmission technique, but it doesn't make much difference when Panzy uses an overpowered taser on one of the military police. Glorio, Shin, and Goku make short work of them only to realize their own plane has been destroyed. Luckily, most of their belongings were undamaged and one functional Gendarmerie plane was left behind. When Panzy realizes her collar had been used to track their location, Shin takes a closer look at the seemingly indestructible restraint and manages to shatter it with a quick spell. Panzy is overjoyed at the news that others could learn this spell to free more in the Third Demon World, but Goku is predictably eager to get back in the air and reach his next battle.
Panzy asks Shin what his original Demon Realm name was before they take off, and it's revealed to be Nahare. To explain why this name never comes up in Dragon Ball Super, Goku says it feels weird to say and decides to keep calling him Supreme Kai instead. As they approach the first Tamagami, Panzy contacts hacker Peral for a new pin number and also learns Hybis has arrived with Vegeta, Piccolo, and Bulma. Once Goku gets a quick pre-fight meal and bathroom break, he approaches the guardian of the Three-Star Demon Realm Dragon Ball and lays down the challenge.
With a booming response that startles all of them, Tamagami Number Three introduces himself and the battle with Goku begins just as Episode 7 ends. Hybis is headed their way with Piccolo, Vegeta, and Bulma, but Goku's fellow Saiyan probably won't be thrilled to arrive after the battle has already begun. Fans will have to wait for next week's episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA to see whether Goku has mastered his new body well enough to defeat this powerful opponent, but the Episode 8 preview confirms that payoff is coming with several glimpses of Goku vs. Tamagami Number Three.
