The latest set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races are now available and feature content added in the 1.49 update, a tie-in race for the upcoming World Series event in Prague, and the opportunity to earn six times more credits than usual.

Daily Races are GT7's core ranked multiplayer events, refreshing every Monday and with races running every 20 minutes (or 30, for Race C) across an entire week. Usually these comprise a one-make, road car sprint race, and sprint and feature races for the Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars — often with the Gr.3 cars in the latter slot.

We've actually got two one-make events this week, both featuring some of the new content from update 1.49 and starting with an unusual off-road race in Race A.

This takes you to the Sardegna Windmills course for a six-lap race in the new Subaru Impreza Rally Car '98. Naturally, as an off-road event, it'll require Dirt Tires to be fitted to the car for the race.

As usual, Driver Rating (DR) updates are turned off, but Sportsmanship Rating (SR) updates remain enabled. Given the almost certainty of contact with other cars and the barriers at the course's edge, this is probably going to result in a tanking of SR for anyone brave enough to attempt it.

You'll also need to watch out for the False Start Check. Any movement between the final light coming on and them all going out to start the race will result in an on-the-spot power loss for a short period and, with the compact grid on a loose surface, probably a big accident unless you're at the back.

Race B is the most "normal" of the events, consisting of a five-lap race around the Suzuka Circuit in the Gr.3 cars. It's a straightforward sprint format, for your choice of Gr.3 vehicle equipped with Racing Medium tires.

Eiger Nordwand hosts the final race, which is a copy of the qualifying race for the Nations Cup in the upcoming Gran Turismo World Series Round 2 in Prague. The 12 Nations Cup finalists will race in the same event in the same format to determine their grid positions for the grand final race on Saturday August 10.

Daily Racers will be running it all week though, with a seven-lap sprint around Eiger Nordwand in the Honda RA272 F1 cars. These aren't currently available in Legends Cars, so you'll need to borrow one if you don't already own one.

It'll need to be equipped with the standard Comfort Soft tires for the race and, unusually, there's no mandatory pit stop this week so you can go all out. The 4x tire wear multiplier is unlikely to have a major effect.

As a little sweetener for the deal, prize money is increased six-fold for this race this week, so you'll be able to make a bit of cash in the process!

In order to access the Daily Races, you'll need to unlock Sport Mode, by completing Menu Book 9 ("Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade") in the GT Cafe single player hub. A PlayStation Plus subscription is required to take part.

With GT7's Daily Races updating every Monday across the game's life to date, the next new set should arrive on Monday, August 12.
