News Xbox Exec Talks 'Honoring Our Craft' As They're Named In Variety's Gaming Leaders List

American magazine Variety has highlighted ten '2024 Gaming Entertainment Leaders' in the past week or so, and Xbox executive Matt Booty has made the list this time around.

Booty was recently promoted within Microsoft's new gaming leadership structure - the longtime exec is now President of Game Content and Studios for the Xbox team. Upon making this list, Booty spoke about the company's recent multiplatform push - and also talked about honouring the craft of making games.

"It's really about reaching as many players as we can with great games,"

"We want to honor the fact that our craft has got as much art entertainment in it as it does science and technology."

As President of Game Content and Studios for Microsoft Gaming, Matt Booty oversees a huge swathe of projects, including everything from Xbox Game Studios, Activision Blizzard and Bethesda. Booty has a mighty job on his hands managing all of this content, so it's no real surprise to see him on the list as ActiBlizz becomes fully integrated into Microsoft.

In other Microsoft Gaming leadership news, former Rare boss Craig Duncan is now the head of Xbox Game Studios specifically - officially taking up his new role this week.
