Death Stranding Director's Cut is now available on Xbox Series X|S. The game was surprise-launched on November 7, 2024, exactly five years after its initial PS4 release. This version includes various enhancements and features:

- Xbox achievements and cloud saves
- Xbox Play Anywhere functionality
The game is priced at $39.99, but there's currently a 50% launch discount, bringing it down to $19.99 for a limited time. This release marks the end of Death Stranding's console exclusivity with PlayStation.
Interestingly, Kojima Productions has also announced that they now have full ownership of the Death Stranding IP. This could potentially impact future releases and platform availability of the franchise.
