If you watch exp read with Breeze and view your character by pressing X you get the memory address of the exp of the characters in party.
Every 1000 exp is one level up, say you have 8000 exp then you are at level 9 after a battle. If you hack your exp to be lower then it will get adjusted after battle too.
Have max qty will also make equipment not disappear after you equip it to your character.
