Pixel-precision platformer Symphonia was originally set to launch in early 2024, but that time has since come and gone. Today, Sunny Peak and Headup Games announced a new release window for Symphonia, confirmed launch platforms, dropped a PC demo, and revealed a new trailer. The demo gives you an introduction to the game and introduces some early levels.

Symphonia is a realm where music is a source of life and energy. Unfortunately, the founders and their orchestra have disappeared, leaving Symphonia's inhabitants divided. The world falls into silence. But a mysterious, plucky violinist named Philemon was brought back to life and sets off to gather a new orchestra and return the world to a musical and lively state.

Your violin and bow aren't just for show: they're how you transport yourself across the world. Catapult through levels featuring platforming challenges on your quest to re-activate the machine that will bring energy back into the world. You can play the violin to activate level elements, bringing them back to life and allowing you to move forward. The environments combine music and machinery.

The world itself is also musically inspired. The musical place is based on a symphonic orchestra. Each area has its own characters and a distinct feel, with each room being hand-crafted. Philemon will meet musical prodigies and have to convince them to join his new orchestra.

The Symphonia soundtrack is composed by Olivier Esman and is based on the romantic period. The music was recorded specifically for the game. is performed by the Scoring Orchestra Paris. Each concert centres around one family of instruments (strings, brass, woodwinds).

Developed by Sunny Peak and published by Headup Games, Symphonia will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, and Xbox One in late 2024.
