There's a lot going on this week in the short, curated set of five events — which bring bonus rewards for completing them during the seven-day window — including some of the new race content added in 1.49, a Special Event created just for the week, and two of the advanced Bonus Menu Book challenges which require unlocking if you've not already done so.
That Special Event features the two Porsche 356 models again, for their second one-make event. Both are currently in the Legends Cars store as Special Picks, and you may use either. There's no limitation on how you tune them for this event, which is a five-lap run around Goodwood, but bearing in mind the high buy-in and 80,000cr first-place prize it may be wise to moderate your spending.
Eiger Nordwand makes its second appearance in a row after landing in 1.49. This week it's the turn of the World Rally Challenge Gr.B, which requires a Gr.B category car on Racing Tires. It's a 12-lap race worth a solid 135,000cr if you win, which is actually a pretty decent money-spinner.
The lowest payout this week is the 23,000cr you'll earn for winning the two-lap Japanese FR Challenge 450 race at Autopolis. It requires a front-engined, rear-wheel drive road car from Japan, in any state of tune: the 450PP suggested only represents a value around that of your fastest AI opponent.
Silvia Sisters is one of the two races you need to unlock, if you haven't done so yet. In this case it's through starting Bonus Menu Book 45. However it's also a relatively low-value race, with just 27,000cr available for winning the three-lap run at Tsukuba. You can use any Nissan Silvia platform road car — including the 180SX or Silvia — and beware that the AI can have some fruity tunes here even at the 500PP suggested.
Finally there's a race in the tricky Neo-Classic Competition, at the Big Willow course at Willow Springs. It's a pretty varied field, with quite a few restrictions: you're limited to a maximum of 800PP, your car must be produced from 1980 to 1999, and you must have Racing Tires fitted. With the high wear rates, this ten-lap race will be decided in the pits, so manage your strategy if you want the 121,000cr victory cash.
You can score a rare Six-Star (Car) Roulette ticket for completing all five events during the week's availability, which awards a vehicle worth between 500,000cr and just over 3m and can include Invitation-only cars. There's a Six-Star (Parts) ticket for finishing one event, and a 150,000cr ticket for clearing three — which you'll need to redeem from your garage's Gifts section to add the credits to your in-game bank account.
You'll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Thursday evenings/Friday mornings, so we'd expect the next set on the morning of Friday August 9.
