Who doesn't love it when a game launches in an unusual way? Morkull Ragast's Rage is a 2D action platformer where you play as the villain, complete with funny fourth-wall breaks. News of its release date broke today, with the physical versions launching first and the digital versions to follow. What a topsy-turvy turn in today's crazy world! The physical release, limited to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, is coming this December. Digital versions for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series will follow.

It's all evil, all day as you control Morkull, the God of Death and Darkness. Morkull is well aware that he is a video game character being controlled by you (and the developer), and he loves to break the fourth wall using his humor and charisma. You'll need to get him out of Ragast so he can carry out his evil plans for the world.

Morkull Ragast's Rage is inspired by traditional animation and two-dimensional games. It is hand-drawn and animated frame by frame.

The game is combo-action heavy. Morkull has a wide selection of combos and abilities to serve him as you see fit. Explore the fantasy world in your downtime, guiding him through platforming challenges.

Morkull Ragast's Rage is available physically as a standard edition or a Collector's Edition. The Collector's Edition may be limited to European territories — what I can find to pre-order in Canada is imported from Europe. The Collector's Edition (shown in the video above) includes a special box with an exclusive illustration, a standard copy of the game, Morkull's fabric patch, an artbook, a set of postcards, stickers, and the soundtrack on CD.

Developed by Disaster Games and published by Selecta Play, Morkull Ragast's Rage will be released physically for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on December 4. Digital versions for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series will be released later.
