Description:

This modifies the behavior of the spell subroutines used by Protect/Armor and Shell. Normally, spells using these subroutines increase the targets' defense or magic defense by a constant amount. With this patch, however, the subroutines will instead cause the targets' defense or magic defense to be increased by an amount equal to the spell's power.
