Sony's dropped some additional PS5 Pro details on the official PlayStation Blog, confirming that, just like the base PS5, the enhanced system will be capable of running PS4 games via backwards compatibility. That information isn't even remotely surprising, but the article does go on to claim that last-gen titles can benefit even more from the Pro's technical advancements.

'PS5 Pro Game Boost' is what Sony's calling it. "This feature may stabilize or improve the performance of supported PS4 and PS5 games," writes CEO Hideaki Nishino. "Enhanced Image Quality for PS4 games is also available to improve the resolution on select PS4 games."

So, basically, your PS4 games might enjoy better overall performance on the Pro, compared to what you were seeing on the standard PS5 — but it sounds like certain titles will actually boast enhanced visuals.
