The first J.B. Harold game, "Murder Club", is being reissued for the Nintendo Switch as part of D4 Enterprise's EGGCONSOLE series of classic game rereleases. The original PC-88 version of the detective adventure title, designed by Rika Suzuki (known for "Another Code" and "Hotel Dusk"), will be made available in Japan on October 24th, and likely come to Western digital storefronts shortly after.
However, despite this new Switch version, it will not include any English text options. This is because the original 1986 release only had Japanese language support, and D4 Enterprise typically only adds basic English menus and instructions to these classic reissues, rather than fully localizing the games.
So while fans will be able to experience this influential early entry in the J.B. Harold series on modern hardware, those looking to play it in English will likely need to seek out one of the previous international releases, such as the MS-DOS, TurboGrafx-CD, or FM Towns versions.
