As per IGN, players will be able to "relive moments from the film and play as classic characters" from Halloween. Carpenter says that he's "thrilled to help bring Michael Myers to life again in this game", which doesn't have any announced platforms just yet.
Halloween as an IP has been notoriously stubborn when it comes to video game adaptations in the past. The series' only real notable appearance on Xbox is as part of Dead by Daylight; the multiplayer horror title that brings lots of iconic horror franchises together under one spooky roof. Halloween's infamous killer Michael Myers is a playable character in the Behaviour Interactive developed title.
As for who's actually making the UE5 Halloween game, we're not entirely sure right now. As mentioned, Boss Team worked as publisher for Evil Dead, but it was actually Saber Interactive who developed the title. As we move closer to launch, we should learn more about who's behind this Halloween adaptation - and hopefully confirmation of an Xbox release.
