Argos was the first to make an adjustment, plunging the price of the newly released platform to £659.99. That triggered others to price match, with Currys and EE also temporarily adopting the same savings.
Argos has since gone back up to £689.99, while Currys has settled back on £699.99. At EE you can still get the supercharged system for £659.00 and John Lewis has since matched. Some of the sites are promoting this as an early Black Friday deal.
If you did already purchase from any of these retailers and are miffed that it's on sale just a week removed from launch, we've read some reports of customers getting £40 back on their launch day purchase, so it's worth contacting customer service and seeing how you get on.
This is perhaps a sign that the PS5 Pro's price may be fairly flexible as we forge forward into 2025, so if you fancy the format but don't need it right away, it might be worth seeing what kind of offers emerge over the next 12 months.
