All love is good love, at least in the upcoming dating simulator Date Everything! where you can literally date everything. Emphasis on thing. Everyday home objects are now your dating pool. Chat up the fridge, the vacuum, the laundry hamper, or even the air. Sport a cool pair of "Dateviator" sunglasses to learn about the objects found in your home and what magic they make. Each object has three different relationship resolutions: Love, Friend, or Hate. The fully interactive world changes based on your choices. If this sounds like too much freedom, don't worry: there is a path that ties it all together!
Date Everything! is being developed by newly-founded Sassy Chap Games. Interestingly, the studio was founded by voice actors, which is rare. The founders include Robbie Daymond (Marvel's Spider-Man, Critical Role, HiFi-Rush), Ray Chase (Final Fantasy XV, X-Men '97, Licorice Pizza), Max Mittelman (One Punch Man, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Persona 5), and Amanda Hufford (Genshin Impact, The Amazing Digital Circus). It's only logical for Date Everything! to have 100 fully-voiced dateable characters featuring voice acting from many other familiar actors, including Felicia Day (Supernatural, The Magicians), Johnny Yong Bosch (Bleach, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers), and Grey DeLisle (Scooby-Doo, The Last Airbender), and more.
Developed by Sassy Chap Games and published by Team17, Date Everything! will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series.
Koei Tecmo lets us in on the first plot details for Dynasty Warrior: Origins
Dynasty Warriors: Origins may not be planned for release until next year, but it's looking (and sounding) better with every new glimpse at what it contains. Last week, the first story details for the 1 vs. 1,000 action game were revealed. The game follows a heroic martial artist fighting against the odds through waves of enemies on the battlefields of the ancient Three Kingdoms. It promises to bring a new, deeper interpretation to the familiar Three Kingdoms storyline depicting ancient Chinese history. One year before the Yellow Turban Rebellion, a martial artist with amnesia visits a village suffering from famine. He meets two people critical to the story: long-haired Zhang Jiao offers a helping hand to those who need it and bearded warrior Guan Yu denounces the injustice of government officials. It's up to these three to fight against corrupt officials.
The entire immersive story is told through the eyes of the unnamed amnesiac protagonist. Episodes of the Three Kingdoms are described with great detail to deliver a clean, engaging experience. There promises to be an overwhelming sense of realism on the battlefield, with the most soldiers in series history fighting their individual wills. The protagonist will have to fight with his own skills and the help of his allies. When prepared to battle, charge into massive enemy armies where thousands of soldiers collide. If "certain conditions" are met (so secretive!) then you can temporarily control Guan Yu or other officers by your side.
Developed by Omega Force and published by Koei Tecmo, Dynasty Warriors: Origins will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series in 2025.
F2P extreme action RPG Tribe Nine begins a closed beta in early August
Tribe Nine, made by Danganronpa series creator Kazukata Kodaka, is an upcoming free-to-play game that deserves special attention. The original IP has already expanded into different forms of media, including anime. In Tribe Nine, Neo Tokyo is a futuristic country ruled by deadly games. A group of teens will face multiple losses and have to devise a strategy to defeat their enemies. Your party will include three characters who fight simultaneously, though ally units will respond as needed by luring enemies or healing allies.

Tribe Nine will get a global closed beta test via Steam, accessible through a lottery. Dubbed "Deadly Playtest," the beta will be available with Japanese audio and Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese text. You can sign up here. Applications will be accepted until July 31 at 11:59 p.m. Japan time. The lottery results should be out in early August, as the playtest is set to run from August 9 at 3 p.m. to August 15 at 11:50 p.m.
Developed by Akatsuki Games and Too Kyo Games, Tribe Nine will be released for mobile devices and PC via Steam.
A complete edition of White Day 2 is on its way to consoles
White Day 2: The Flower That Tells Lies is a direct sequel to 2001's White Day: A Labyrinth Named School. It was originally released for PC episodically, with three episodes launching between February and June 2023. Next month, the game will be available for PlayStation and Xbox in the form of a Complete Edition, which means all episodes at once plus seven additional costumes including traditional Korean Hanbok for the player characters and a nostalgic janitor tracksuit for the guards
Exactly one year after "the incident" at Yeondu High, four people return to the school seeking answers to the mysteries that haunt them. The first episode follows Jung Soo-jin and her crush, Jang Sung-tae, as they try to find proof that Soo-jin wasn't involved in the death of a classmate. The second episode is set at the same time and follows former teacher-in-training Kang Seo-yeon as she arrives at the school to investigate the ambiguous circumstances behind her father's death on school grounds; she will attempt to reverse the results of an ancient ritual using her knowledge of the occult. The third episode finds first-year student Yoo Ji-min trying to bring peace to a restless spirit, Han Na-young. It is Ji-min's fateful discovery that finally lifts the veil of obscurity.
Developed by Rootnstudio and published by PQube, White Day 2: The Flower That Tells Lies Complete Edition will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on August 15.
