The Yooka-Laylee video game series is getting a remastered version called "Yooka-Replaylee" that has been officially confirmed for release on "Nintendo platforms". This likely includes the current Nintendo Switch as well as the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console.
Some of the key features of the Yooka-Replaylee remaster include:
- Improved visuals and animations
- New and enhanced in-game challenges
- A new collectible currency called Q.U.I.D.S.
- A new world map and challenges tracker to help players navigate the game
The remaster is also planned for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, in addition to the Nintendo platforms. A playable demo of Yooka-Replaylee will be available for attendees at the upcoming EGX event in London later this month, but an official release date has not yet been announced.
