Here we are, then: Wuthering Waves, the open world RPG from Kuro Games, running on PS5. Sony will be showing the game on its console for the first time this weekend at ChinaJoy 2024 in Shanghai, and a short snippet of footage has been filmed and shared online, as spotted by the eagle-eyed users at ResetEra.

This isn't the best demonstration of the game, as it's off-screen footage, hastily captured in poor quality from an unsteady angle. However, it's looking pretty smooth from where we're standing; as this is a combat demo there's none of the open world exploration on display, which could potentially cause performance issues, but we're not seeing any hiccups or issues here.

The gacha game's been announced for PS5 for quite some time now, after the developer mentioned it was working on a console conversion at an Unreal Engine event in China. However, earlier this week the title's social media officially confirmed the port, after Sony announced that it would be demoing the title at ChinaJoy 2024. There's no release date just yet, but hopefully it's not far away.
