The identity of the voice actress for Eva in Metal Gear Solid 3 has been revealed 20 years after the game's original release. Jodi Benson, best known as the voice of Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid, was the actress behind Eva's character. She used the pseudonym "Suzetta Miñet" in the game's credits to protect her family-friendly image, given the more mature content of Metal Gear Solid 3.
Benson's involvement was kept secret for two decades, with the revelation coming through Konami's Metal Gear Solid Legacy Series documentary. The pseudonym "Suzetta Miñet" was derived from Benson's childhood dog's name, Suzette Monet, with a slight modification suggested by voice director Kris Zimmerman Salter.
Interestingly, Benson will reprise her role as Eva in the upcoming remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which is expected to release in 2024.
