This game has two modes, Story Mode and War Mode.
In "Story Mode", you play as the super robots of Planet Cardian who much defend their home and their brethren from Emperor Darkus and the Zakbaran Empire, who have stolen Planet Cardian's Card Metal and want to use it revive their fallen leader, Lord Garsius!
In "War Mode", up to four players can compete against each other on one of four maps. In this mode, you can draw more cards than in Story Mode and have the chance to draw event cards can do something positive or negative, depending on what card is drawn.
