Unlike Genshin Impact, which just received its massive new sequel-sized update, Honkai: Star Rail is padding time ahead of its next important story update. That's brought the Trailblazer back to the Xianzhou Luofu, where they're currently dealing with a prison break involving a particularly problematic enemy. That storyline will continue in v2.5, due out on 10th September.
Even if the Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue is effectively filler, there's still loads to look forward to. In addition to the new storyline, you'll also be competing in the Wardance Ceremony alongside Belobog's under-used red-headed boxer, Luka. You'll need to work your way through a series of battles, entertaining the crowd along the way, to win the tournament.
Elsewhere, three new characters will headline the game's banners: Feixiao, the foxian general introduced in the previous update will be first in line. She's a Wind-based follower of the Hunt, who utilizes both an axe and gunblades in combat. Her two weapons alter in effectiveness: either affecting an enemy's Toughness or increasing Break effectiveness.
She'll be followed in the second phase of the banner by Lingsha, a Fire-based Harmony character who uses incense to heal her allies and remove debuffs. The Xianzhou native will be accompanied by the four-star Shadow Guard Moze, who'll add another Lightning-based Hunt option to your ever-increasing roster.
One thing worth noting is that there'll be a special Warp Event during the first phase of the update which will plot the return of Black Swan, Robin, and Kafka all at once, so we sincerely hope you've been saving your Primogems. Topaz will also get a rerun in the second half of the update, rounding out the full selection of features in this cycle.
