Fallout games are more popular than ever thanks to the Amazon Prime TV series, though that doesn't mean we're getting a new game anytime soon.
Recently it was reported that Xbox is pushing for Fallout 5 to be released sooner rather than later, but with development on The Elder Scrolls VI in full swing, it's believed the next Fallout game could be handed to a different developer, like Fallout: New Vegas.
Fear not though, as with a few mods you can get Fallout 4 looking just as good as a next-gen Fallout game, and here's how you do it.
This handy little guide comes from Reddit user DukeTuna, who made a post titled, "You don't need 100 mods to look good (just five mods here)".
The mod list includes: True Storms - Wasteland Edition (Thunder-Rain-Weather Redone), True Nights (for True Storms with ENB), True Sight - ENB preset for True Storms with True nights, Vivid Fallout - All in One, and Another Pine Forest Mod ( Forest Trees Only).
DukeTuna shared a clip of their game with the five mods installed, and while your display probably doesn't do it justice, you can tell it looks leagues different from the base game.
Of course, even if you're only running five graphics mods, you'll still want a few more to change up other parts of the game, like the weapon sandbox or character skins, but this at least saves you some time from scrolling through a long list.
All of the above mods can be found on NexusMods, and can give you that next-gen game feel without having to wait until Fallout 5 drops.
