Combining the best features from both Grand Theft Auto VI and Cyberpunk 2077, this upcoming Unreal Engine 5 release is one to keep your eye on.

Developed by Lightspeed LA, which in turn is led by former Rockstar Toronto employee Steve Martin who worked on Grand Theft Auto V, Last Sentinel is an upcoming "narrative-focused, open-world action game set decades from now in a reconstructed Tokyo".

Check out the Last Sentinel trailer below!

Created in the stunning Unreal Engine 5, Last Sentinel will be the first title for Lightspeed LA and as you can imagine from its futuristic setting, is heavily inspired by Cyberpunk 2077 with open-world features found in titles such as the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI.

With a two-minute trailer already under its belt, we have seen a sneak peek at what we can expect from the title.

The trailer shows us the beautiful futuristic setting as we see angry robots attempt to break into an orphanage run by human-looking androids. However, it isn't long until the game's protagonist, Hiromi Shoda, appears in the doorway and swiftly dispatches the invaders even whilst being referred to as "The Demon" by the androids.

Last Sentinel has reportedly been in development since at least January 2022. However, other than a two-minute trailer and an official website, its developers are keeping the game close to its chest with not much more information available as of yet.

For now, it seems as though we are in for a long wait to get our hands on this exciting new title. However, with such an established team behind it, we can expect it to be quite an exciting game when it inevitably releases.

In related news, the game at the forefront of the cyberpunk genre, Cyberpunk 2077 has an exciting in-game item you don't want to miss out on finding.
