Yes, yes, we know - it doesn't even really feel like news to say that REPLACED has been delayed, does it? Still, we strive to bring you the latest updates on all things Xbox, so, we're back again to tell you that this 2.5D Xbox platformer has once again been pushed back - this time to 2025.
Developer Sad Cat Studios (appropriate in this case) has dropped the news today on social media, saying that the 2024 date it provided us just a few months ago was "optimistic" - in the end, too optimistic for them to reasonably hit.
For now, all we know is that this highly-anticipated Xbox Game Pass title is aiming for a broad 2025 launch, and we're hoping that our next update on this topic is to bring a more specific release date. REPLACED was first announced back in 2021... it's got to arrive sometime soon, right?!
Jokes aside, we'd rather the team take the time they need to get REPLACED in ship shape and ready to go. There's still some real hype behind this Xbox title, and we'd rather see that excitement fulfilled than the game be rushed out the door for no good reason. Here's hoping this 2025 date doesn't get replaced as well!
