This hack came about out of frustration with the hack it's based on, Zelda Challenge Outlands for Legend Of Zelda on the NES.

This description is going to be rather terse as to not spoil anything but it is enough to say that no changes have been made to the dungeons, only the overworld, which has been considered by many to be needlessly restricting and over-complicated. Thus the overworld is easier to navigate and some items easier to acquire...
