The open-world fantasy game "Towers of Aghasba" is set to launch in early access on November 19th, 2024 for PC and PlayStation 5. The game is being developed by the studio Dreamlit Games, whose team members have previous experience working on titles like Hawken, Titanfall, and Call of Duty.

Towers of Aghasba takes inspiration from Studio Ghibli films like Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, as well as games like Minecraft, Shadow of the Colossus, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The game follows the Shimu people, who have had to flee their homeland and must now work to restore the land and rebuild their villages.

Key features of Towers of Aghasba include:

- An open-world fantasy setting with diverse ecosystems and creatures to discover
- A focus on exploration, resource gathering, and rebuilding/restoring the land
- Multiplayer co-op for up to 4 players to trade, hunt, and battle together
- Hand-painted textures and a handcrafted world map, giving the game a unique visual style
- Inspiration from Studio Ghibli films, reflected in the art direction and themes

The early access version launching on November 19th will include three types of towns, three unique ecosystems, over 40 creatures, 120 plants, and 150 decoration recipes to discover. PlayStation 5 pre-orders will also come with exclusive in-game items like decorations, masks, and a unique mount.

Overall, Towers of Aghasba looks to be a promising open-world fantasy experience that draws inspiration from beloved anime and gaming franchises. The focus on restoring and nurturing the land, along with the multiplayer co-op, should provide an engaging and visually striking adventure for players.
