Over in Japan, Pokémon Sleep is currently the most downloaded mobile app in the Health & Fitness category and has the largest revenue share, according to Sensor Tower (reported by Famitsu, and shared by Automaton Media).
In numbers terms, Pokémon Sleep has 450,000 downloads, while Pokémon GO sits at 150,000 for the period of July 20 2023 to July 19 2024.
Other data reveals that the largest age group who use the app are within the 25-34 range — 42% of the player base fit in this category — with 35-44 the next closest at 26%. The male-to-female ratio is at 6:4, too.
We waited a long time for Pokémon Sleep's existence, so much so it became a bit of a running joke. But it's Pokémon, so when it landed, it shattered all expectations. The app has reportedly already made $100 million in its first year, and it'll likely continue to rake in the cash.
