Fortunately, it looks like Sword of the Sea may be on the cusp of making a return. The title's just received its own PS Store page, and while there's still no sign of a release date, the listing's existence does suggest that things are moving behind the scenes.
If we're lucky, a re-reveal could be on the cards — perhaps at Gamescom later this month? We'll keep our fingers crossed.
