No one needs to ask "how did it end?" if they've played Red Dead Redemption 2. Or at least they didn't.

Since Rockstar Games popular sequel launched, many changes have been made to the story.

Sprawling expansions and whole new chapters have opened up, however, the heartbreaking secret of the ending has been difficult to shake.

If you know, you know.

This Red Dead Redemption 2 mod that "enhances" the finale won't prevent certain events from happening, but it will add new details to soften its blow.

As NexusMods' creator RedPeds explains, "This mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 enhances the gameplay experience during the 'Beecher's Hope' chapter and the second chapter of the epilogue with John Marston.

Red Dead Redemption 2 players looking for a more wholesome conclusion need look no further than this epilogue expansion

"It adds interactive prompts and custom dialogues when John interacts with various characters and entities, including specific events and music."

This mod, combined with others, is said to make the epilogue feel "more alive".

"Another great mod," posted 1011daxman, "Love how much this and your Sadie mod makes the epilogue feel so much more alive. Keep up the great work!"

After all that death, it's a welcome change of pace.

We much prefer hiding away in the niceties of this mod than facing the terrifying reality of a scary occurrence we've never seen before (and don't want to see again).

Not had your fill of disturbing in-game moments yet? Try this secret on for size.

Maybe then you'll recognise just how wonderfully wholesome this enhanced epilogue is.

'John Marston - Beecher's Hope Dialogue Enhanced' is available for free on NexusMods.

Despite being a relatively new mod (it was only created early July), it doesn't seem to cause too many bugs or issues with the base game.

All that's left is for you to enjoy the moment; you've earned it.
