Out of all the Elder Scrolls games, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is up there as my favorite, even if it is a little dated by modern standards.
While one could dream of an official Bethesda remake, let's be real, the most likely scenario is another port of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Fear not though, you can kind of play an updated version of the game through the Official Nvidia RTX Remix mod.
This handy-dandy mod uses the latest and greatest hardware to completely overhaul the game's visuals.
It's not a full-on remake by any means, but it drastically sharpens images, improves textures, and completely changes the way the in-game lighting works. You can see a full breakdown of what the mod does to the game on YouTube, which includes some before and after comparisons.
That being said, it does just make us wish for an official remaster or remake of the full game, though it doesn't seem Bethesda has any interest in revisiting it anytime soon.
According to the latest rumor, the game most likely to get the remake treatment is Fallout 3, a decision that'd make sense given the popularity of the Fallout series right now.
Nevertheless, if you want to play The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for yourself, it's widely accessible nowadays, both on PC and Xbox consoles via backwards compatibility.
