One clip, currently still up on Until Dawn's subreddit, pertains to a new ending sequence for the remake. The footage features brand new scenes that may hint towards a sequel.
Two post-credits scenes can be seen, each one focusing on a key character from the group of teens. The first shines a spotlight on Rami Malek's Josh. In the original game, if he lives to the end, he's seen to have transformed into a Wendigo monster. However, in this new scene, he's revealed to still be human (though trapped in the mines).
The second scene concerns Sam, played by Hayden Panettiere. Years after the events of Until Dawn, she wakes to an early alarm in Los Angeles. It's revealed she's on heavy medication, likely related to PTSD. This is reinforced by a mysterious wound on her arm and a creepy voice calling her name, which could be hallucinations.
These teasers are being interpreted by fans as hints that a sequel is on the way.
An Until Dawn movie is currently in production, so it's possible that Sony is doubling down on the series; a remake, a film, and a sequel would be quite the combo.
This leaked clip isn't confirmation of a sequel, of course, though we can understand why some are convinced it's happening. Some are speculating that developer Firesprite's horror title may in fact be Until Dawn 2.
