Back at the latest Nintendo Direct presentation in August, one of the games that was surprisingly announced for Xbox was Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, which launches on March 21, 2025.
The reason this is surprising is because we've never seen an Atelier game on Xbox before, despite the RPG series having been around since 1997. In fact, there have been well over 20 mainline games to speak of in that time!
This week, we've been treated to a 10-minute presentation on Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, which you can watch up above. It provides a nice overview of the gameplay and story, so it's worth checking out if you're curious about dipping into this series - or maybe getting it on Xbox for the first time.
We'll also throw some more details down below about what you can expect from this epic adventure next year.
"In a world where alchemy has become taboo and is considered evil, Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land follows the adventures of Yumia Liessfeldt, and her companions as they seek to uncover the truth behind the fall of the Aladissian Empire, which once thrived with alchemy, and the memories of a lost history. Yumia's quest will take her across a ruined continent and despite the uncertainties of confronting her past, she will need to create her own path if she hopes to unravel the mysteries behind the cataclysm that destroyed Aladiss.
Players will have a wide range of actions and items at their disposal throughout the adventure, allowing them to explore a vast open world made up of different biomes as they make their way through these unknown lands. As they explore, players can gather materials and synthesis items, which can be used to synthesise and craft new items for use in their quest, both during exploration and combat. Not only fans will be able to craft items without having to return to their base thanks to the "Simple Synthesis" feature, but for the first time in the series, fans will be able to build, furnish and decorate their own base with the "Building" feature."
