The planet has gone from green to a complete desert thanks to human activities and over-exploitation. The game's narrative heart is a mystery: your sister is missing! With each step you take, the truth becomes clearer. Traverse a rich landscape in your van, which is customizable. Meet and interact with inhabitants and uncover the mysteries of Cigalo. The community will become your home, and you will contribute all you can.
Caravan SandWitch falls squarely into what most would consider cozy by emphasizing inclusivity and environmental themes. There is no combat, no death, and no timer. It's just you, your van, and the open road. It's quite hopeful for a post-apocalyptic game considering an old aboriginal species, the humans who chose to remain (versus going to another planet), and the mysterious SandWitch all live peacefully in Cigalo, helping each other in the inhospitable environment.
You will have your van and some essential tools to help you on your quest. The van can be upgraded throughout the game. You can open up new passages and ruins through exploration. Navigating treacherous terrain and discovering ancient ruins will bring you closer to unravelling the truth about your sister's disappearance.
Also today, a single from the game's soundtrack was released. Pensée Dérobée by Antynomy is available on its own through YouTube, Spotify, BandCamp, and Apple Music. The Caravan SandWitch original soundtrack will be released alongside the game this September.
Developed by Plane Toast and published by Dear Villagers, Caravan SandWitch will be released for PC via Steam/Epic, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
