Publisher Marvelous Europe has announced a release date for Potionomics: Masterwork Edition, the console port of its cult hit RPG management sim. As revealed in the above trailer, the game is heading to PS5 on 22nd October, 2024.
If you're out of the loop on this one, it has you playing as Sylvia, a girl who's inherited a potion shop steeped in debt. Your job is to get ingredients, brew up magical potions, and sell them to your customers. On top of that is an RPG layer; you can forge relationships with various characters in the game, having some of them go out on quests to find rare ingredients, and learning haggling tips from your friends. As you rake in the cash, you will be able to pay off the shop's debt, and slowly upgrade your equipment to make even better products.
The Masterwork Edition of the game adds various new features. Voiceover gives some character to each, er, character, and an Endless mode allows you to keep the shop open beyond the main story. New difficulty modes, Capitalism and Cozy, make the game more challenging and more laidback respectively.
